The 2012 Industrial Service Directory is Coming!

We’re getting ready to publish the 2012 Terrace/Kitimat Industrial Service Directory, which we printed for the first time last year alongside the KT Industrial Development Society. This year, we’ve also partnered with the District of Stewart as part of an ongoing effort to work with neighbouring communities while promoting the region.

The directory was developed to promote local industrial businesses to the many major companies operating in the region, who can be unsure about what local services and supplies are available to them. Earlier this month, we interviewed Craig Nelson of Avanti Mining Corporation, who referenced how his team has been making use of the directory as they move the Kitsault Molybdenum mine forward (you can read the full article here).

“We have already found [the directory] to be extremely useful. That type of readily available information makes it effortless to quickly identify services and supplies that exist in the region,” said Nelson.

The directory has expanded considerably since last year, which we had initially given out on both flash drives and in print. An additional 200 copies will be printed in order to meet the anticipated demand for next year.

Last year, we also handed out copies at the Association of Mineral Exploration of BC’s annual conference Roundup and the 2011 Minerals North Conference. We plan to continue expanding the reach of the publication at industry events, such as the upcoming Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s International Conference in Toronto.

If you would like to take a look at our directory, you can check it out online here. If you’re a local company that would like to be listed, contact us at info@teda.com (do it soon to be included in the print version!) Or, to learn more about development projects in the region, take a look at www.investnorthwestbc.ca.
