SUMMIT TO FOCUS ON BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
A summit focusing on economic development in northwest B.C. is being held in Terrace later this month.
The Skeena Summit runs from Oct. 21 to 23 at the banquet room in the sportsplex.
Keynote speakers include Darcy Rezac, Roger Brooks, Calvin Helin, and Helmut Pastrick.
Rezac has been a managing director of networking business organizations and will speak to networking and communications, while Brooks has tourism and economic development experience and will focus on branding and marketing.
Helin, a member of the Tsimshian Nation from Lax Kw’alaams, is the author of Dances with Dependency: Out of Poverty Through Self-Reliance. He is also President and CEO of Eagle Group of Companies, Orca Spirit Publishing and Communications, and president of the Native Investment and Trade Association.
Pastrick is the chief economist for Central 1 Credit Union and will be giving an economic update.
