Temporary Grant Writer

Terrace Economic Development Authority (TEDA) and Kermodei Tourism Society (KTS) are looking for a suitable person to fill a 4 month grant writing position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•Researches and identifies new government and private funding prospects
•Generates proposals and supporting documents
•Generates revenues for TEDA and KTS activities through timely submission of well-researched, well-written and well-documented proposals
•Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals

Knowledge & Skills:
•Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
•Strong editing skills
•Attention to detail
•Ability to meet deadlines
•Experience with proposal writing and funding sources

Qualifications:
•Minimum of two years experience with grant writing (post-secondary students will be considered).
•Previous experience with non-profit fundraising.
•Experience working in deadline-driven environments.
•Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
•Must have a strong knowledge of the Terrace and Northwest BC area.
